In college, Douglas Graham studied mechanical engineering and mathematics, and was awarded his bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 1962. During that time, he also received detailed training and experience in automotive and motorcycle design, modification and repair.
Mr. Graham served in the U.S. Army from 1963–1966 and was honorably discharged as Sergeant. After military service, he attended Chicago-Kent College of Law and graduated in the top third of his class. As a law student, he received the AmJur Book Award for his research and writing in Constitutional Law. He was a winner in the 1970 Chicago Bar Association Young Attorneys authorship competition, and in 1978 was awarded his Master of Laws degree from John Marshall Law School upon acceptance of his thesis in anti-trust and trademark law.
While he was a law student, Douglas Graham worked as a law clerk for the firm of Moses McGarr & Gibbons (now Abramson & Fox). After graduation and admission to practice, he became an Assistant Illinois Attorney General in the Pollution Litigation Department. He entered private litigation practice in 1971 and established his present organization in 1977.

Mr. Douglas W. Graham is an experienced Chicago personal injury lawyer with extensive court experience in the Illinois Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court. He averages two or three appeals per year. He has also had 50–60 successful jury verdicts.
